WELL

I was all set to upload some photos and post some new blogs, but I have run into a problem. Blogger is telling me that I have met my storage limit for photos and need to upgrade and buy more storage space in order to upload anymore pictures. I was under the impression that Blogger was free and I could use this space for as long as I'd like without ever having to pay anything. Apparently I am mistaken? Anyone else have issues with this? I will be on hiatus until I resolve this money issue. Why does it always have to come down to money??? ALWAYS.

Sorry folks.  :(

Halloween 2012

We let our baby pick out his own costume this Halloween, in hopes that he would be really excited to wear it. He wasn't.  :(  He chose this Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle "Rafael"outfit.  We kept trying to warm him up to the idea of wearing it. He didn't buy it. It wasn't until we started associating the costume with getting candy that he started to want to put it on. Even then, he hated the hat and refused to wear it. Low and behold, after watching episodes of Cailou about Trick or Treating and The Great Pumpkin many times over, this little one wanted his costume, and even his hat!

He was super excited about going Trick or Treating. We practiced saying it with him a couple of times and would give him candy, which he would always follow with "Danks!" He usually only ever said, "TREATS" which I think was pretty clever marketing on his part ;)

Precious.

We always tell him to check himself out in the mirror after we do his hair, or get him dressed up. He gets a real kick out of it. Halloween is no different. He loved seeing himself in his turtle costume!

Then he whipped out this beauty without prompting. He called it his scary turtle face, and it evolved through the night.

:)

The best part is that every time he did said face, he would always say it in a scary, deep, slow-motion voice,   "SC A RY TU RT LE" Oh man, I love this kid.

He decided to look at himself in the mirror while on the floor. A turtle in its natural element, if you will.

He willingly poses for pictures with his Momma.

Doing "Scary Turtle Face"

Watching the Great Pumpkin and getting ourselves psyched before going Trick or Treating... I love this picture

We had to be bribed with candy to be photographed with Daddy. Stinker.

Goosey smile.

We headed out to our cul de sac Halloween Party. Look how adult he looks in his chair. At this point, he no longer wanted to wear the mask/hat, which was fine by us.

Uncle Matt even joined us for some Halloween festivities.

The neighbors! The turtle was a hit  :)

Getting glow bracelets and necklaces

Our candy and our neighbors candy spread for all the Trick or Treaters

The very first house!!

We know now to bring a stroller for this little one. Walking so much, even if you're getting candy, is tiring work for a two year old!!  Good thing we have Daddy's to carry us around.

:)

Our streets were filled with Trick or Treaters, as far as the eye could see!!

We had a great time, hope you did as well!!

Wings Over Houston

We were going to make our annual trip to Dewberry Farms for some more pumpkin fun, but Isaac chose airplanes over pumpkins. Can you blame him? He is 100% boy! He loves cars, trucks, tractors and airplanes! Houston has a great air show every year, so we braved the frigid weather and went to see some planes!

There were a lot of opportunities to get an up close and personal look at the different aircrafts. The first one we checked out was the U.S. Coastguard boat(the only boat at the air show). There were lots of nooks and crannies in this thing, which the kids loved. Dan and I couldn't spot Isaac at one point and started freaking out, but he was just hiding in the tunnel...

Cool little airplane!

U.S. Coastguard helicopter! You know Isaac loved this one. He had a hard time waiting in line. He really wanted to get in!

Pilot Isaac!

Checking out all of the buttons

In the back of the helicopter

and LOVING it!

Some pics from the air show. We thought Isaac would really dig this since he notices every single plane/helicopter in the sky, but he liked going in them more. Daddy and I were really more interested in watching the planes, but there wasn't too much time for that with a two year old. :/

They even had pyrotechnics!

We all loved these little planes, but you couldn't go near them. Sadly they were all behind a fence.

That made this little boy very sad.

So we sat and looked at them for a while.  :)

Checking out some airplanes flying overhead with Mommy

The line to get on this plane was SO long, but well worth the wait. It was our favorite by-far.

I mean, look at how fun just the stairs are!

It was super windy and cold that day. my eyes were watering all day and I was the only one who didn't bring a hat. Womp womp  :(

We definitely had some fun!! Sad to have missed Dewberry Farms this year, but when faced with the choice between the two, you gotta go with the two year old!
