Guess who's a CRAWLER????

!!!!!!!!

So I wouldn't say that he's a professional crawler at this point, it's more of a hobby.  He doesn't have it quite down yet, meaning that he's not very coordinated and still gets his legs "stuck" when trying to get into the crawling position. BUT he can crawl!!! We figure he'll be crawling circles around us in no time. Well, at least spinning in circles around us, cuz he's got that down pat. :D

11 Months

What we have learned in 11 Months:

  • Isaac LOVES bread. This is not a new occurance. Ever since we have started feeding him "big kid" food, we've noticed his affinity for it. He can have a variety of foods placed in front of him and he will  graze over all of it and pick out all of the bread to eat first. So comical. I think he gets that from his Papa. ;)
  • Speaking of food. This kid LOVES it. Any kind really. He will try it all, he is not picky. Even the aforementioned green beans that he used to despise, he now gladly and willingly opens up for. No tears, no dry heaving, nothing. All it took was introducing them a half a dozen times, and he now thinks they are pretty darn good. But he literally loves to eat. He will eat and eat and eat and eat. We only think that we have seen him full twice. Every time we feed him, we just have to stop offering him food, because we think, "He MUST be full by now!" He probably eats more than I do for breakfast, no joke. But he is very interested in whatever you are eating or drinking. He wants nothing more than for you to share with him. We gladly oblige, on most occassions. :)
  • He HATES sippy cups. We have now tried 2 different kinds, and he refuses both. He just smashes things with them. He'll groan and push them away when you put them up to his mouth. I am thinking that we are just going to skip them all together. He does however LOVE to drink out of our cups or bottles. It is quite messy, but he will actually "ask" for more.
  • He is really into the "throwing things on the floor" stage. It's this great little game that all parents know far to well. You give him a toy, he takes it, and throws it on the floor. He then stretches SO far to try and get again. So naturally, you think that he wants it now. So you give in and get for him, again. You then realize that he only wants it so that he can throw it on the floor. And you can start the whole process all over again. :/ Sigh.
  • This month has been sort of momentous. We actually took Isaac to the gym with us, and left him at the nursery. :O With complete strangers. Crazy, I know. The first time Dan dropped him off, he lasted about 15 mintues before he was paged to come console a sobbing, snotty mess that was Isaac. The second time we both dropped him off, and he was a champ. No tears, no snot. Success. :D That little bit of a break is kind of nice. And if we miss him too much, we only have to go as far as downstairs to collect him.
  • Isaac has started dancing whenever his toys start to play music. It is SO funny!!! He's got moves, too!! A couple months back he showcased, "The Sprinkler". Yeah, and with no dance lessons. Amazing!
  • For some reason, feet have become a sort of delicacy around here. Or at least you would think so, with how often Isaac shoves his in his mouth. Seriously.
  • Isaac has been "crawling" all over us these days. He'll climb up and down, and try to dive and slide. Of course, when we put him on the floor. Nothing. Nada. It will be soon though.
  • He has gotten pretty adventurous too. He tries pulling himself up on everything! Even things that aren't very stable. :/ He is able to sit on his knees, and check things out. It's pretty awesome and all in the past two weeks!!
  • He is a sit and spin master. He can turn in a circle super fast. It's pretty funny.
  • Speaking of funny. This kid is hilarious, and he finds everything funny. As I mentioned before, he thinks sniffing is the best thing ever. And the dogs? Comedy geniuses.

EASTER!!! HE IS RISEN INDEED!!

At Easter morning service together

The beautiful Oyster Creek Park

Look at how big our "baby" is!!!

The cousins finally arrived!!!

Look at this big kid!!

Isaac was being awfully silly with his bottle. This is the only way he wanted to drink it...

You see Maddie there, running in the distance??

Picnics are so fun

His hair cracks me up

Speaking of cracking up. This silly boy thinks it is hilarious to breathe heavily through your nose. He makes the funniest face when he is trying to do it. It is hard to hear him doing it, because of all the background noise, but you can see the face. Which is enough, believe me....

Here's some of the "sniffing" face!!

Sniffing profile shot!!

YES!!! This kid is too stinkin funny!!

and cute!!

Sweet boy cousins!!

Playing peek a boo!!!

Sweet love.

What a beautiful little family God has blessed us with. Let us never take these moments for granted. They are far too precious. And far too fleeting.

Happy Easter y'all.

Crying. Or punching. YUP, that was pretty much the night. :/

Mr. Fussy Pants

Super.

YAY!! The always awkward birthday singing + sombrero!!!

Happy 30th to the best daddy I know.
