I am 5 Months Old today!!!!
I wore a hoodie in honor of Fall.
And I look amazing in it. :D
Trying to sit up.
Lost the hoodie so you can see that beautiful face!
Just gorgeous.
Eating hands, of course.
Amazing.
What we have learned in 5 months:
- As pictured above, he is now trying to sit up all the time. If he is reclining in his chair, he will pull his head and shoulders up and try to look around. It's so cute, but all that increased abdominal pressure can sometimes make us lose a little of our meal...:/
- He LOVES LOVES LOVES his feet. He has now mastered the skill of pulling off his socks. The other day, he pulled one off, and stuck it in his mouth. Naturally..
- He started rolling around a lot now. Before, he only knew how to roll from his stomach to his back. Now when laying on his back, he teeters from side to side when grabbing at his feet. He now plays in his crib on his side. In fact, we can't keep him in the same spot in his crib anymore. Around 6 in the morning he starts turning himself sideways. By 8am he has done a complete 180 and is laying on his side, scratching at the mattress. We can hear it through the monitor. :]
- Isaac is grabbing a lot of his toys with precision now. He stares at it for a while, then goes for it. It's amazing to watch this little baby grow.
- Bathtime has become a lot more fun! Isaac loves splashing around. Daddy pretty much gets soaked every night!
- Feeding time has become quite interesting. He is very easily distracted and turns his head left to right, depending on what peaks his interest at the moment. When he focuses in on Dan or I, he immediately grabs onto our chin and holds it for a bit, while he eats. So comical. One time, he even grabbed onto Dan's lower lip and held it. Just making it bigger!
- Isaac gained 2lbs in a week! He was 14 pounds, caught a cold, eating was miserable, so naturally he lost some weight. The next week he felt better, and ate normally. When we weighed him, he was 16lbs! Talk about a growth spurt!
- We have started the dreaded teething process. It has been a rough couple of weeks. He got his 4 month immunizations, followed by his first cold a few days later. RIGHT AFTER we recovered from the cold, we started teething. Poor baby! He has 2 little teeth coming in on the bottom. Droolin Fool.
- One good thing about teething (as if there is one!) is that Isaac has been a lot more snuggly! Mommy and daddy will take all the cuddles we can get!
best 5 months of our lives....
