6 months

Remember when we were....

1 month

2 months

3 months

4 months

5 months

And 6 months old today.   :]

It is so amazing. He has been such a blessing to us!

He has gotten so big now, that I am not even sure how to take his picture in this once "big" green chair.
:(

And of couse I can never pick out "the best" picture.

I end up loving them all.

You can't help but love this little turkey, booger bean!

Baby giggles are the best thing on the planet...

What we have learned in 6 months:

  • Giggling is super fun, and we do it all the time.
  • We are ticklish, which is hilarious for all who are involved. He is especially ticklish in his neck. :)
  • We are super duper close to sitting up on our own. We can hang for a couple of seconds, but haven't mastered the whole balance thing quite yet.
  • Right at the 5 month mark we started recognizing our own name and turning towards whoever was saying it. That was amazing to witness.
  • We are teetering back and forth, and are SO VERY CLOSE to rolling over onto our belly from our back. But we're not there just yet.
  • We love LOVE LOVE eating solid foods and can't wait to start eating more!
  • We have become much more mobile now. If we put him down in one spot, within minutes he has turned himself around.
  • He loves to be "thrown" into the air by daddy. It makes mommy a tad nervous that our full belly is going to explode all over. But his love for it far outweighs the risk it involves...
  • He has moved on to now making bfphbfphbfph noises. He perses his lips together and pushes air out, thus "spitting" all over. He loves it. He does it when he's happy and when he's mad. Just with very different tones of voice. AND the drool has not let up. :/
  • He is into grabbing hair now. Watch out!
  • He has recently become much more of a snuggle bug. YAY! He isn't so much interested in laying flat on his mat anymore and playing. He wants to be in your arms investigating what you are doing at all times.
  • He's really into scratching EVERYTHING. At night we can hear him in there, just scratching at his mattress.
  • He started having a little bit of separation anxiety. :( It breaks my heart. He fusses if he sees you walking away from him.
  • He has become a total HAM for the camera. As soon as he sees the camera, he "turns it on" and automatically starts smiling! We have talked about starting him in the baby modeling business. You gotta start early people. There's some stiff competition out there. We have high hopes for him to be the next E Trade Baby...
