9 Months

9 Months old today

And growing cuter by the month :D

"Ha Ha. Pull my finger. "

:D

Things are going SOUTH quick

Looking amazingly awkward. Which I love.

Practicing our walking with that sweet daddy...

and now, the much anticipated.....

What we have learned in 9 Months:

  • We have introduced the sippy cup this month. Without much success. We missed our "window" of opportunity at 7-8 months. He will drink out of it if we hold it for him. If he's holding it, he much prefers to hit things with it. :/
  • He started hating bottles for a time this month. For whatever reason, he would hit them away and scream everytime you brought it to his mouth. He had no problem eating his solids though. Course :)
  • He is not mobile yet. We are pretty sure this is out of choice, not a lack of ability. We know he can reach his toys, or scoot in reverse to get them. He would just prefer for us to do it for him. :/ What can I say? He's brilliant.
  • He started throwing tantrums. This has been interesting. Tantrums usually ensue when we won't get his toys for him. Or we try to teach him to crawl, or to pull himself up on furniture. Once again, all things he can do, but chooses not to. He crawls while sitting on us, and he will pull himself up when holding onto our hands. Just won't do it on his own. He is stubborn. Like his daddy. ;)
  • He's super duper smiley. All the time. EVERYONE always comments on what a happy boy he is. LOVE that so much. Such a blessing to see that sweet smile.
  • We have learned he doesn't like when you take his toys away. He does the "plank", where he completely stiffens out his body. It's quite comical.
  • We started eating big people food!! Like eggs and bread and yogurt and fruit and mashed potatoes. HE LOVES IT. When he first ate eggs, he kept making "mmmmm" noises throughout the whole meal. It was hilarious.
  • He's a big boy! His 9 month app with the Pedi found him to be 21bs 11oz, and 30inches long. All that solid food helps to put on the pounds.
