Isaac has never been one for hugs. Or snuggling of any kind for that matter really. He is always on the go, wanting you to carry him around just so you can act as his locomotive. Taking him where he wants to go. Although, I must say, that he has gotten much better in the past couple of months. Every once in a while he peppers in a little affection. Which always makes us swoon! Especially if it's unsolicited. He just recently started giving full fledged hugs. The kind where he wraps his little arms and legs around you. Squeezes you real tight. And all a purposeful demonstration of love. Nothing is sweeter than that. And this is where it all started.....
This is right after bath. Daddy was leaning in giving him some love and Isaac wrapped his little arm around Dan's neck and was pulling him in so close! We kept telling him how sweet it was that he was giving hugs. Every time Dan would pull away, Isaac would tighten his grip and pull him in closer. As if, saying, "I'm not through with you yet!"
Doing this all the while sucking on his favorite fingers, of course. Look at the grip he has on him!!
Look at that sweet little smile. He pulled his fingers out of his mouth and was patting Daddy's back while hugging him! Amazing what little one's pick up on just from watching us. It was a super sweet moment.
