38 Weeks!

Your Baby:

Your baby's intestines have accumulated a considerable amount of meconium (the code name for black, tar-like baby poop), which is usually eliminated shortly after birth and gives you your first experience with the 100-wipe diaper change. Here's what else is up:
Your baby might just scratch himself in the womb as the fingernails have grown over the fingertips now.
Baby's lungs continue to mature and his brain and nerve function are working better every day. The latter two will continue to mature until Junior is a teenager, at which point he'll know it all (or at least he'll think he does).
Your baby weighs about 6½ pounds and is around 19 or 20 inches long—as long as a duffle bag (in case you needed an excuse to go shopping for a new bag for your labor gear).

Baby Belly:

Dan & I joked that this is the shirt I'm going to wear into labor and delivery...
"Hugs not drugs"

So we are gearing up around here. It can be any day. When will this little boy decide to come??? This is such an exciting time!! Everyday feels like Christmas!!  <3

Only problem now is that Dan is still sick and so am I. :(  Please pray that we will be healed and feeling like brand new before Isaac comes. We have accomplished a lot of things in the past couple of days. BUT there are some things that we are procrastinating on because we both don't feel that well. We made our "labor play list" and put it on Dan's IPOD. There are two versions, "Labor slow jams" and "Labor--pushing it to the limit"--that last one was Dan's call. :) We have yet to pack our labor bag. For some reason, this seems like one of the hardest tasks to do. I hate having to think of what we may or may not need. :/ Historically, Dan and I always wait til the night before a vaca to pack, so I am assuming this will be done in somewhat the same way. We are going to try to run some last minute errands tomorrow, to cross some more things off the ever growing "to-do" list.

We have been walking a lot and I have been taking the stairs and standing a lot. All in effort to move this baby down and out. I do feel like he has dropped down a bit lower, which is a good sign. I have been having some pains, and feeling "uncomfortable" but still haven't been feeling any contractions. I am hopeful though that the walking and such has helped me to make some progress. We will see this coming Thursday. It is our next appointment with Dr. Ortique! We will keep you posted if anything "happens" before then. :)

XOXOXOXOXOXOX
